- Every access - Hand water plants @ Wailuna using water from the bigtank. (Need
to check if we still have 5 gal buckets up there)
- Construct new storage shed @ Wailuna. (Old one's pau)
- The two small water systems at Kealealuna and Lua Makika need to be cleaned up
and preped for renovation. Materials & tools organized, secured,and inventoried.
(Davi already mentioned Kealealuna). Trash organized for removal. List of new materials
required.
- Stone work needed to redo bottom of the cliff trail to the Mua. (Maka will be
on several of the next accesses)
- Every access - Cut and stack kiawe for imu & fire pit. Prune deadwood from
trees in camp.
- Construct second storage shed for food and cooking utensiles in camp. Redesign
and redo shelving in original food shed. (Put food supplies in one, pots, etc. in
second.
- Design and construct a small water stand for various water and juice containers
so they don't have to sit on existing tables.
- Design and construct a new dish & pot drying stand for kitchen area. (One
that won't constantly fall over.)
- Continue cleanup around green desal shed. Continue to organize unburnable trash
all around Hakioawa for removal.
- Inventory useable materials and tools in Hakioawa. Organize and store out of
the weather.
- Every access - report on the functioning of the composting toilets for needed
repairs and maint.
- Every access - hand water plants in Hakioawa if irrigation is not functioning.
- Reorganize materials in the four Navy side storage sheds for more efficient use.
Build better shelving in Navy side Conex box.
- Scrape rust and repaint both Conex boxes. (Particularly the tops)
- Continue erosion control measures above and below Wailuna catchment.
- Hakioawa well - measure current depth & gather water sample for base line
data. Assess condition of current rope ladder. Dig out sediment to bottom of original
pit. Reactivate current well gauge. Monitor water leveland periodically gather water
sample for testing.
- Reactivate & maintain Hakioawa rain gauge.
- Operate and maintain Hakioawa desal and potable water systems.
- Approx. every three months - swap out the data logger from the Kealealuna climate
station and return the full one for data downloading.
- Maintain and improve shoreline and mauka trails.
Some of these tasks require large amounts of people well supervized, some small,
some experienced in specific tasks, some unskilled, and some require the dedication
of a single person to constantly maintain an ongoing kuleana.
